Rob Ghio is an experienced litigator and transactional attorney who has represented multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, and high-ranking executives. Rob started his career with large national law firms in Dallas and was a partner and head of the labor and employment practice at national firm's dallas office.
He represents employers and employees in a wide variety of employment-related matters, including litigation involving discrimination, trade secrets, noncompetition agreements, severance agreements, unfair labor practices, wage and hour claims, and immigration. Rob counsels employers on employment and immigration compliance issues and with day-to-day advice on hiring, discipline, management, and termination of employees. He provides in-house training on employment-related matters, such as litigation avoidance and management practices. Rob also assists business clients with immigration issues, such as I-9 compliance and applications for temporary (H-1B, L-1, etc.) and permanent employment.
Rob is a frequent speaker and writer on employment and immigration topics, and his articles have been featured in such publications as the National Law Journal, Texas Lawyer, and the Dallas Business Journal. He has been quoted on employment and immigration issues in print, electronic, and broadcast media, including The Christian Science Monitor, HR Magazine, Newsweek Japan, the Fort Worth Star Telegram, USA Today.com, and Fox 4 News (Dallas).
Rob is a 1993 graduate of Stanford Law School, where he was an Editor for the Stanford Law Review and an Articles Editor for the Stanford Law and Policy Review.
Rob received his B.A. from California State University, Stanislaus in 1990, where he graduated summa cum laude in History. Mr. Ghio is admitted to practice before the following Federal Courts:
